Please Explain the Reasons Behind Drug-Trafficking?

Question by zonryzita: Please explain the reasons behind drug-trafficking?
Ok, so I understand how people would sell drugs like cocaine, meth, and marijuana, because other people have addictions and they will pay anything to get some drugs to satisfy their addiction. I don’t know much about drug-trafficking, but I think that people sell drugs for other reasons than just getting a fast dollar because someone else needs the drugs to satisfy his/her addiction. Let me ask you this: Is it correct to conclude that narcos sell meth and cocaine because they can convert those drugs into medicine needed to cure illnesses, that otherwise is very expensive to obtain? We all know that many people don’t have health insurance and medicine is very expensive without it. Could drug traffickers be selling drugs to also do under-the-table deals in selling medicine without presecriptions so that people could obtain it easier? Please explain. Thanks!!!!
Duh, I know it’s for money. That’s obvious. But what is done with those drugs? Other than supporting a drug habit and using it to “feel good”…..what is done with those drugs? What other use is given to it?
