PREGNANCY Questions !!! Please Help ?? ?

Question by shannon: PREGNANCY questions !!! Please help ?? ?
Ok so here’s the deal. I really need everyones advice on this one please please please! Me and my husband have been trying to conceive for a year now. I’m getting a little worried but cannot afford infertility treatments at this time. 3 months ago we thought we may have became pregnant as I was spotting abnormally and ended up having a HCG Level at 13 then went back within 48 hours and when down to 5.. The doc said I may have had a very early pregnancy and wouldn’t of known if I didn’t have blood test done because there was no missed period yet. Also my husband has been doing cocaine here and there, I would say once a month but I don’t touch drugs what’s so ever.. Could this be a reason why it’s taking so long? We Are constantly having unprotected sex so I don’t think I’m missing the time of the month when I can conceive. I’ve been keeping track of my ovulation days but still nothing. I’m 27 and my husband is 23.. He has a child by another women.. I also had a abortion in the past when I was about 18 almost 10 years ago… I never had a infection or anything abnormal after that… Also I don’t have my legs up after sex either I know they say to do that … And everyone also keeps saying when the time is right but we are in the right timing where I just got a wonderful job and so did my husband we have a beautiful home and it’s just getting me so worried. Like I said I did have a abortion in the past but my doc said that wouldn’t matter unless I had more then one or issues with it and I didn’t.. Please help! Thank you :/

I know my husband shouldn’t be doing drugs but If we do become pregnant he will stop he is not addicted he just likes to have it once a month! Please no rude comments I’m just so upset!

we’re trying too, but just started, so i cannot imagine your frustration! hang in there, and know that when the time is right, it will be time. that said, maybe now is not the right time. yes, you’ve got jobs (phew–that’s a relief, right? good stuff!), and a house, but your husband should stop doing drugs now. substances (alcohol, marijuana, cocaine, etc.) can affect his sperm levels. check out this article: http://www.babyhopes.com/articles/illegal-drugs-and-their-affect-on-your-fertility.html .

please don’t take this as a rude comment, but i have to say “likes it once a month” isn’t exactly “not addicted.” is there a reason he won’t stop now? i would talk with him, show him the research, and ask him if there’s something else he could do to relax/enjoy/whatever the reason he’s doing it now, and tell him you want to help him stop. again, please don’t take offense, i just think it’s really, really important to eliminate all drugs, no matter how minimal the use.

that’s my thoughts. good luck, say a prayer, and have fun trying. let us know how it goes. hang in there!
