A background check entails checking to see if you have a criminal record and also checks your credit reports. Poor credit is an indicator of poor dependability, drug usage, propensity to steal, etc.

It means that the Company will subject you for a pre-employment drug screen as well as a “background screening” which can include past work history, criminal record, driving record, as well as banking and credit.

This is pre-employment and the results will determine whether or not you receive an offer of employment.
